New Blood--Paul the Adventurist/MM

This week our first single male MiniMissionary arrived at our compound, brought via 4.5 hour car trip from Moshe, Tanzania by two male FT Missionaries from Rafiki Village there. Paul is his name, and he's a thirty-something successful young businessman from San Francisco who just resigned from his career a few months back to travel the world for 2 years. Literally. I think he started his trip in Hawaii in October and traveled New Zealand, Australia, Asia (Japan, Korea, China, Tibet, Nepal, India) before arriving in Africa this spring. He aspires to climb the 7 peaks, which are each of the highest mountains on the seven continents. He just finished climbing Mt. Kilamanjaro in Tanzania before arriving here. He is booked for several weeks at each of 4 of the African Rafiki Villages: Malawi, Tanzani, Kenya, and finally Ghana, where he leaves for next on April 10th.

I don't know much of his story yet, but will learn more I'm sure. He is helping us love on and play with the orphans here. We plan to climb Mt. Longonot, the extinct volcano crater, with him this Saturday. The following weekend, for the Easter holiday, he plans to accompany us to the beach in Mombasa where we will fly and spend 4 days and 3 nights.

I don't have Paul's picture yet, so I am sharing some of my favorite kids here. All of these photos were taken by Anna before she left. Unfortunately, her very best work in portraits are files too large to be directly downloaded here for now. I will have to figure out how to condense her best portraits. Meanwhile, enjoy the beautiful faces and smiles!!!
